| There are just three rules you need to follow when uploading IMAGES or files to the Gallery
1. Files must be JPEG format for images, WMV, MOV or MPEG for video and MP3, WAV or MID for audio.
2. The Gallery software will not accept any files that are over 2048 KB in size. The base member gallery space is set to 20 MB and at 2048 KB per image you would be able to have about 10 images or files. This limit is set for audio and video content. If you are uploading still images please do not waste server bandwidth by uploading a large file. The gallery software will resize the image to meet the dimensions of Rule 3 so there is no advantage in sending a super large file and you will just waste site bandwidth and server time.
3. No image can be greater than 700 pixels in either height or width.
The gallery software is setup to resize any image that is over 700 pixels, create a thumbnail and save the image as a 70 % JPEG file. If you wish to control the JPEG quality of your images we recommend that you resize them to meet the 700 pixels or less requirement, compress them at the quality level you want and then upload them. The software will then only create a thumbnail and not resize them. |

| Click on the "Upload File" button at the top of the gallery window. This will open the window below in the center of the screen. You are allowed to upload up to 5 files at a time. Click on the first "Choose File" button and navigate to the location on your computer where the file is you wish to upload and select it for uploading. In this example, one video file is selected. To select other files just click on another "Choose File" button and chose another file. When you are ready to upload click on the "Continue" button. If you wish to cancel uploading just hit the back arrow on your web browser. |
| When you click on the "Continue" button the file upload should begin. This may take some time, depending on the size and number of files that you are uploading. When the upload is complete you will get a screen like the one to the right. This screen will tell you the status of the upload and will indicate any files that did not upload correctly. Click on "Continue" |
| The next step is to enter information for each file. You must select an album for each file. Click on the "Select Album" arrows (1) and select an album from the drop down list. Enter information into the fields (2) and (3). The fields in (3) only appear on multi-media files. If you are uploading multiple files you will need to file out this information for each file. Clicking on the "Continue" button will bring up the window for the next file or a message that the files have either been placed properly or that there were some problems. At this point you are done and if your files were placed properly they should now be in your gallery. By default, the last loaded file will appear as the icon for the album it was load in. |
