| My love of photography began as a youth with my first little Brownie camera. From then on there was hardly a time I did not have a camera close at hand. After finishing college, life happened and I participated. I married a rancher and furthered my love of nature as well as photography. The next years were filled with raising two children and running the ranch house. I taught school, sold real estate and was a business owner. It wasn’t until I moved to TN and married the love of my life, Big Al, that I discovered digital photography. Thus began a passion I think will be with me the rest of my life. My emphasis is mostly on nature: birds, butterflies and flowers. However I can’t pass an old barn , building or antique without snapping a photo. I began seeing some of my favorites disappear, usually from a combination of weather , neglect, and the prolific developments taking place . That is when I found a purpose for my photography other than my own joy , which is: To visually preserve the beauty and richness of our rural heritage. I began taking photos of old rural buildings, barns , area icons and antiques as well as the beautiful scenery TN has to offer. I am relatively new to this art world, but have been fortunate to have my work displayed and sold in several area businesses. At the present time they can be viewed and purchased in Harmony Home gift shop in Franklin, TN and Neapolis Café and Southern Prints Framery in Maury County. There are several pieces in Thompson Station Grill in Williamson County and of course in the Spring Hill Visual Arts Gallery in Spring Hill, TN. Using my prints, I have designed special greeting cards for Crown Jewelry and Harmony Home gift shop in Franklin, TN.
